Who's the jerk who made up "dirt cheap"?

We decided to work on the back yard this spring. We have two huge black cherry trees and they create a lot of shade. Combined with ruts, pits and neglect, most of our back yard is dirt. Now the whole thing is dirt. We ordered about 28 cubic yards of peat moss and top soil. They arrived on Saturday at about 9:00 am with a four axle dump truck. The trucker said he would have to go get a release form if I wanted him to pull in the driveway. The truck/dirt was too heavy and would probably break the concrete. I asked him to go ahead and dump it at the end of the driveway. It didn't take long to realize broken concrete is better then a broken back. Every inch closer to the back yard would help. I have a garden cart rated for 1500 pounds and on the third load, the axle snapped. We were stuck with 1 nice wheel barrel and 1 not so nice wheel barrel. We had help from Jameys Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister and a couple of friends from work. It took about five hours to get the pile in the backyard and we called it a day. Ryan, Jamey's brother, Came back on Sunday and helped grade the dirt. The pictures below are what it looks like now. We ordered sod for delivery on Saturday but I had to cancel due to the five day forecast. (SNOW) I will post the pics of the finished product as soon as we're done.

Lazy Weekend

We had a great weekend. It was beautiful. 70 and sunny most of the weekend. Jenessa spent the night at her friends house on Friday and Jamey and I went to a co-workers birthday party at Webers Inn. Webers is a hotel/restaurant/bar. We had a great time. Saturday morning we picked up Jenessa and her friend, Kirsten. While they played Jamey did some laundry and I primed up the sprinkler system. We already have quite a bit of growth in the front yard. I will post some pics in the next few days. Sunday I took Jenessa and Kirsten to the Wayne Community Center to go swimming. The pool is beautiful and it's a quarter mile from our house.
All in all a great weekend. Above are some pictures of the girls swimming and a couple of Luka helping Jamey with laundry.

April Fools

Jamey and I both work at Eby-Brown and have for about ten years. We're board. Anything to change it up a little bit helps the week go by.
On my Dads last visit, he gave me a book of practical jokes. Most of the tricks would get my ass kicked, but one stood out like a shining star.
Let me start by saying Eby has two bathrooms. The office and the warehouse. I set the joke up in the office. If you haven't seen "Trainspotting" ask someone who has to tell you about "The worst bathroom in England." The warehouse bathroom is similar.
We love our boring jobs!
